Mammoth Mountain

Tino and Rock found and made a friend.
Nix was so super duper excited to be out on the lake.

One day we rented boats and went fishing. We didn't catch a thing. But it was still fun being out on the lake, with the cool breeze and the warm sunshine.

We like to go up to Mammoth at least once in the summer time. We escape the heat, enjoy the local bike trails and the mountain bike trails. We go hiking along the stream behind Granny's condo, and fishing is always fun and relaxing. We watch movies, play games and make yummy food. This year we went up with the Dunn's and my dad and Tori. We had a great time! Tino was very sad to leave!

Mammoth Trip~ Winter '09

Mammoth Mountain is a place we visit at least once a year. My Family has a condo there and we LOVE it! In the summer it is gorgeous with beautiful lakes for fishing and awesome mountains for biking. In the winter it is a winter wonderland with lots of snow, beautiful pine trees and no bears. This trip was a girl trip with our kids and mom. Chase and Jacque were there when we got there and Jessica came for a couple days; then it ended with my mom, Vanessa and me and the little ones... and our cousin, James, lives there for the winter so he came over quite a bit to spend time with us. He also took us on the gondola one day and to the library another day by bus. The bus is free all winter long.

James and us on the gondola

We found a road that is closed for the winter, so we spent 2 days sledding down the long slight hill. At the end of the road you had to dig your boots or gloves into the snow to stop yourself from going onto the asphalt.

Tino learning to climb stairs.

This is the first dryer he has ever seen the clothes getting tossed around and around. He would stand there and pound on the glass and sort of jump.

My little snow bear!

Nix had so much fun in the snow... so happy to be outside.

Thanks to the fact that there were snow gloves for Nix to wear in the snow, because when he ever touched the snow with bare hands, he would scream and cry for help. He didn't like that snow on his skin.

Playing inside. We had a lot of fun lounging around in the warm condo. And that table sure was entertaining.

Aunt Vanessa brought lots of fun games and movies. This is them playing "Go Fish". Nix's first time playing a card game.
