Nix's new bike for his 3rd birthday~ He received a Kawasaki bike (I found online, but Nana and Papa bought it for him), but one day he was riding down a hill, on the sidewalk, and suddenly crashed and fell into the grass. He stood up with a big smile on his face and said to me "See that crash Mommy?" I said "Yeah, your bike broke" Luckily he wasn't hurt, his training wheel broke off, irreparable and poorly made. So I put the bike in James and Amy's back yard, cuz we were closer to their house, and we walked to the store and walked home. So I mailed the bike back and a few days after the crash we went to a local bike shop and found this Haro, which Nana and Papa helped us buy. It is a great bike, built sturdy. He will have this one for a few years for sure, unless daddy keeps riding it.
Riding without training wheels
Nix riding with his Daddy~ I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I was at Brett's brother James and Amy's house with Ro. Brett called and told them that Nix was riding without training wheels. So I put Ro in the stroller and Amy leashed up CiCi and Toughy, James grabbed the Razor and we walked up to the school where Nix was riding around on his little bike without training wheels. The chain is connected to the peddles so if Nix stops peddling then he stops moving. So his little legs are moving when he is balancing on 2 wheels. I was so happy to see him learning to do a new thing. I hope I will always be there to watch and encourage him to learn and be involved in good activities. Brett definitely pushes Nix's limits, but he did a good job teaching and encouraging him to ride.
