Marathon anyone?
We have decided to run the LA Marathon this year. So the training has started, my first run was 1 mile long. I didn't get up early enough and Brett had to leave for work in 10 minutes... so I ran 1 mile. I had to walk twice and when I got home my lungs were on fire!! I have never been in so much pain after 1 mile before. Later the same day I walked to the store with Nix on the razor and Tino in the stroller. Then this morning my shins were sore so I did the elliptical, ugggh. I hope I can get in shape fast enough without injuring myself. Nix's legs were sore today too... he kept complaining about his legs hurting. The store is about 1 mile away, so he rode his razor roughly 2 miles yesterday. What a tough little man. I called him a little man and he told me that he wasn't little, he is big. So I explained that he was a big boy, but a little man. He didn't agree. He insisted that he is a big man like his daddy. When he created a Wii Mii, he made himself tall and fat. I tried to make him shorter, but he said, "No, I am tall" and fixed it.

Way to go on deciding to do the marathon. There's a bunch of people from our ward doing it. My dad I think even wants to do it and has started running. I wish i could join the big group but it's kind of not the right timing with a baby due the month before ;) Good luck on training. You'll feel good running in no time.
I wish I could run it with you. I haven't been able to run very hard lately cuz of this knee injury I've been dealing with. It's completely frustrating. It sounds so fun (and so painful at the same time). You'll do great.
And thanks for your comment on the homeschooling post. That's a really good point that there are many people (like you) that I wouldn't know (really well - I guess we did have YW) if it wasn't for school. I'm the same as you. I want to at least try for a few years and see how it goes, or try to send him to a school where I'm able to combine the two. Who knows what we'll do.
good luck! Don't push yourself to hard, listen to that body of yours.
Tell the little man aunt jenny says hi.
way to go on the running! hey i was on a street in newhall and it stirred up some memories. you dad's?
wow I wish you the best of luck with getting in shape, I know you can do it. as for myself, I can't see myself running the marathon.
I'm there baby!!! Woo hoo, it is going to be so fun, I am really excited!! My shins have felt really good the past two days. I am just running the two mornings a week until they feel completely healed. I don't want to injure myself further either. I just wish we could train together. We will come down there one of these weekends and we can go on a run together. FUN!!
I can't believe you didn't tell me. I'm so offended.
