Well today was the test. I wanted to see how the boys would do on a 4 mile hike. Pour little Tino has a cold too (Brett's not happy with this decision to go hiking with a sick boy. I probably shouldn't have gone anywhere, I call it pregnancy judgement). I was very impressed with how well they did. They made it and I even have a video of Tino clapping when he could see the end, and the parking lot. I think we were all pretty happy for it to be over after 3 hours. I'm laughing inside! It was seriously crazy, but fun. We saw mushrooms, rabbits, stink bugs, lots of flowers, lizards, one snake (non-venomous), I flicked a tick off Tino's shirt and brushed a tick out of his hair, then a crazy bug was in his shirt so I ripped his shirt off to get it out, then a pulled a tick off my neck as it was crawling across, I really need a shower!! The boys were running down the hills, not too much complaining and I didn't carry Tino too much. They did awesome, especially Nix! We sang songs and ate grapes! We aren't going anywhere the rest of the day, games and movies tonight! And early to bed!!! Nix has a race tomorrow.

Sounds absolutely crazy! I don't know how you do it with the ticks, those alone freak me out! :) Great job boy's on making it the whole way! So funny that Tino started clapping! :)I hope you post pics of Nix racing.
You are crazy! What a good mom you are! What lucky boys to go on outdoor hikes so often! We really need to join you one of these days.
