Today we went on a bird scavenger hunt and I think the boys don't look up enough to check off any of the visual items. Nix did check off the call or song of a bird. They both colored on their paper. We had fun! Putting together a scavenger hunt on hikes definitely makes it more interactive and helps them become more aware with what is around them. They sure love the stink bugs we always find. We learned today that the spray that comes out of the stink bug is extremely toxic, if it gets in your eye you should quickly get to an emergency room.
We were very excited about the pet Rubber Boa Constrictor
that was brought out after the toddler hike.
