I awoke this morning with Ro at about 5 am and could hear the faint down pour of rain outside. It seems that it hasn't stopped for the last 6 hours. I love the rain. I love the sound of rain, whether soft or loud. I am glad it helps keep my husband busy at work. I actually like having an excuse to stay inside all day and bake and play with my boys. Drinking hot chocolate is a favorite of mine which is fun to have on a rainy day... not Nix, he likes to dress warm and drink ice chocolate (chocolate milk with ice cubes). So our rainy day schedule today is: Put on some warm socks, stay home, take a bath, drink chocolate (hot or cold), play games, bake some bread, read Christmas books, listen to the rain, take a nap, make butternut squash soup, set up Christmas tree with lights and ornaments when daddy get home from work, eat soup, run in the rain if it is still raining right before we put on our 'jammies, then get cozy and eventually go to bed.

Sounds like a good day... I always get caught up with dishes, laundry, mail, wiping bums... I want to just get cozy and have hot chocolate:)
I loved the rain today too!!! I made hot chocolate after school and I made chili and cornbread for dinner. I wanted to crawl back in bed but that of course did not happen. :)
Sounds kinda like our day except ours was snowy!! Love the cozy feeling of being inside during crazy winter weather.
I love the rain too- we woke up to SNOW! I would much rather have the rain. I love to have a pot of soup on the stove cooking, and sit by the fire with a good book!!! But your day sounds great too!
