My Aunt Flo
I haven't had my Aunt come for over a year, and I didn't miss her one bit, but yesterday she decided to knock on my door and I have been a cranky mess. I don't exercise while she is here and I don't eat well... to make things worse I went to a cookie exchange and brought way too many cookies home with me which I have been eating all day long. So I decided to evaluate my life and start making some changes. What is most important? "Eat nutritious food, exercise regularly and get enough sleep. Wear simple, casual, and modest clothing. Live within our income, stay out of debt, and save for a rainy day. Store up spiritual fuel." Taken from L. Tom Perry's talk Oct 08 General Conference. So now what? Teach my boys to live this way, by being a good example and doing it myself, and not worrying about everything else around me that weighs me down like my Aunt Flo. When we make the right choice "we are sustained in our action by the principles of righteousness, in the which there is power from the heavens"... when we make the wrong choice we are "destined to fail."

We are going to eat so much junk food when we get there and your going to love it.
We have been doing the same around here, evaluating.
Hope all is well. See ya soon
Glad you can see the positive side of things. Me, I am just eating the cookies I brought home and enjoying Stupid Aunt Flo!
Aunt Flo is my great excuse to eat all the bad stuff so I say eat up and enjoy and worry about eating good and exercising when she is gone. :) I love to hear all of your thoughts and reminders that we all need.
Love you tons!
Vanessa
Right, so at first i thought you were talking about a real person. It sounded so harsh and I was hoping she didn't read your blog, and then I got it. Good luck with all that. I'm in the same boat as you (no aunts visiting yet though). There's just no time to exercise with all the Christmas sweets to be made and eaten.
Wow. You are one lucky girl. I too love that time to eat choc and more choc. You have 3 other weeks of the month to eat super nutritious. Thanks for all the reminders too.
I need to do all of those things!
